Hey everyone! :D

Arata news has been pretty slow as of late, with the exception of the regular releases in Weekly Shonen Sunday. But I do have a few release dates, and some eye candy for those that are interested!

Firstly are some manga release dates for the English version being released by viz:
Volume 6 has a release date of 6 - 14 - 2011
and Volume 7 has a release date of 9 - 13 - 2011. Which means these volumes are just around the corner! (and we dont have to wait forever and a half for releases like we do with Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden.
And For those that dont know Watase has a blog that she posts to ever so often, and recently she's posted a few Arakan sketches! Behold the glory:
these were from two sperate blog enteries, which you can read here and here !

Info on Arata is pretty slow overall (so its not just you!)

Hmmm ... thats a good question! I know doing a boy's manga was one of Watase's dreams, so I'm sure she'll stretch arata out as long as she can. Plus boy's manga series tend to be on the VERY long side :coughinuyashacough:, but of course that also all depends on how popular the series is. I'm not exactly sure how well its doing in Japan, but since its already been over two years and over 100 chapters, I think its safe to say that its doing fairly well.

I think we'll know the series is coming to an end when the Princesses necklace that Arata carries has turned almost black (or grey ... I forget what color its turning) marking that the princess is near death. And if I remember correctly I dont think its even at the quarter way mark yet.

I think its safe to say that Arata will around for a little while longer. But I dont think Watase has expressed a certain end date like she did with the Sakura Gari series (which she stated would only be three volumes long, and it was).

Sorry I cant be more helpful!! >_
